Bio:     If anyone asked Charity, she’d tell them she came from a normal family, lived a normal life, from a normal city in Kansas.  Like any other teen who lived and grew up in such circumstances, she hated it.  All through middle school and high school, Charity and Dale dated.  They were an extremely close couple, who most people considered a ‘mismatch’.  Dale was captain of the football team, baseball team, and a member of the wrestling team.  He was considered a ‘jock’ by every definition of the term, except that his girlfriend was not a cheerleader.  Charity was always on the sidelines for his events, but she was reporting them.  It was their dream for Dale to become a professional baseball player and for Charity to become a sports personality for the team he played for.

Those dreams were shattered one fateful, stormy night.  Dale was driving home from baseball practice when he tried to stop too late for a stop sign.  His car slid through the intersection and he crossed the center line.  When he tried to put his car back on track, he overcorrected and crashed into a tree.  He didn’t die instantly, but was hospitalized for a week before the doctors declared him brain dead and his parents took him off of life support.

Dale and Charity ‘dated’ for four years before he died.

After his death, Charity changed her mind about what college she was attending, but not what profession she wanted for her life.  She applied to Gotham U and received a scholarship to help her parents with tuition and board.

Once there, her freshman dorm roommate was Delia Norton.  The two became best friends right away, each embracing the others quirks.  Charity often says that Delia taught her how to laugh again but hasn’t necessarily curbed Charity’s newfound love of ‘extreme’ (dangerous) games.  Delia is fond of telling Charity that they’ll both find the right guys for them in Gotham, but Charity has sworn off love forever proclaiming that Delia is the new love of her life… her new best friend.
