Bio:Wendell Michael Croyden was born February 28, 1978 to Marjorie and Eldan Croyen. He is the middle child of five, and one in many cousins of the Croyden-Pennyworth clan.

From the age of 11 through 17, he was the school time companion of Bruce Wayne, and the boys were often glued at the hip during holidays and breaks from school. The friendship was strengthened by the fact that Bruce was an often solemn loner , as he had been since his parents’ murder, and Dell’s outcast status among The Cousins (who looked down their noses at pretty much everyone who wasn’t them).

After school, Dell married his sweetheart, Rosemary Ward, and the two had a child together, Charis, who died in the early part of 2007 after a long and drawn out illness. The illness and her death put strain on Dell’s marriage to Rosemary and they soon divorced. Rosemary moved back in with her mother, Sophie, while Dell tried to make a go of it alone in their London flat.

The grief, however, was too great to bear and Dell turned to alcohol to soothe his heart. He eventually lost his job as butler, his flat, and was forced to return to his hometown to live with his parents.

After the death of his grandmother, Dell reconnects with Bruce Wayne and eventually becomes the next Wayne butler, taking over for a retiring Alfred Pennyworth, who is also his cousin.

He later married Penny McDaniels, who works as maid in the Wayne household. They have two children, twins Colin and Corrie.
