Bio:     In 1994, Rev. Paul Birch died in a tragic and random car accident, leaving his then twenty-year old son to be the “head” of their family. Five years later, his wife Carol, died in her sleep, as the result of a severe asthma attack. Upon her death, Noah became the legal guardian of his two younger sisters, Mary (16) and Ruth (12). Two years later, Mary graduated high school and, being 18, became emancipated.

From the age of twenty to twenty-five, Noah did a variety odd jobs in his quest to support his family. He forewent college, choosing instead to provide so that his sisters could attend school, if that be their choice. In 2001, he went to work as a security guard at Wayne Enterprises (then Wayne Industries), where he worked until 2004, when he foiled a robbery at Wayne Towers. Shortly after, he was approached by Sloane with a proposal to train as a bodyguard for Bruce Wayne.

He was a bodyguard for Bruce Wayne from 2004 through the fall of 2005, when his love for Shelly Meyers – whom he later married – compromised his objectivity. Though his job was terminated, he remained on the payroll until he completed police academy training and became a member of the Gotham P.D.

He is currently a detective with the GCPD. He and Shelly have one child, their daughter Hannah.
