Bio:

Lee Douglas Merriweather was the third son born to Doug and Abby Merriweather of Philadephia, PA. As such, he lived a life mostly in the shadows of his two-overachieving brothers, James and Anthony.

After graduating high school (6th in his class, not valedictorian like his brothers), he attended Drexel University where he enrolled as a general Business major. He soon discovered that he had an aptitude for his communications classes and enjoyed working with people. At the encouragement of his advisors, he picked up a communications minor in the middle of his sophomore year.

Graduating in 2002, he found that his communications skills and the long list of clubs and activities he had helped organize or promote made him a good candidate for a public relations position with any business or firm. His first job landed him in Gotham, working as an assistant for (former) Mayor Whitehall. The position, however, came to an end when Whitehall lost to Miles Blaire in the 2004 elections. It was, however, enough to give him a strong basis with which to earn his PR accreditation at that time.

In November of 2004, after he was hired (through Lucius Fox at Wayne Industries) to work as Bruce Wayne’s social secretary/assistant. It was, especially at first, a daunting task, given the fickle, mercurial nature of his client’s personality. In short, working for Bruce Wayne tried his patience… but it also turned into one of the most rewarding jobs he’d ever had.

Through his work with the Wayne family, Lee met his wife Claire. Although she was a high school student at the time, he felt a connection to the girl with the troubled life… the girl who threw herself into as many activities as she could just to stay sane. In some odd way, it reminded him of himself and the lengths he went to just to get out his brothers’ shadows. The stronger their bond became, however, the more Lee struggled with the fact that she was a high school student and ten years his junior, as well.

They maintained a strictly platonic friendship until her graduation in the spring of 2009. After what felt like (for him, who planned out other people’s lives so meticulously) a whirl wind courtship and engagement, they were married at the very end of October, 2009.
