Bio:     Kirk is the ‘special’ member of the Mitchell family.  As a child, he had difficulty socializing and he reacted, sometimes violently, to social situations.  His parents took his to several physicians who could never pinpoint a diagnosis for him.  Most considered him either extremely ADHD or OCD, but he was eventually diagnosed with high functioning Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.

He was put on disability and his physicians strongly suggested to his parents that he never live alone; however, it was increasingly difficult for his parents to care for him as they lived in Los Angeles and the large city was rough on Kirk.  Eventually, his parents considered putting him into a home, and that was when his brother took an early retirement from the police force and moved with his brother, and eventually sister and niece out into the extreme suburb.  Kirk was much happier away from the city.

When Katrina was hired to work for Bruce Wayne, Don and Kirk moved to Gotham to be with Katrina and Reese.  The four now live in a home out in the country where Kirk spends his time walking in the woods and spending time with the horses at Joyce Meyers’ cottage.
