Bio:     In his prime, Juan Emilio was one of the most highly sought after male models in Central and South America.  He modeled everything from designer clothes, to cologne, to underwear.  In 2013, he met famous American model AnnaBeth Medios and the pair hit it off instantly.  Despite the tabloids having a field day with their ten year age difference, he was 27 at the time and she was 37.  They were married in 2014.  As Juan was fond of saying, she may be 37 but she looked and acted his age.  He was very much in love with her.  As time wore on, Juan felt a desire to have children and even as a semi-retired supermodel, AnnaBeth had no desire to give birth to children and take the chance on ruining her body.  In all reality, he knew she had no desire to be a mother… period.  He knew that was why she left Gotham originally, leaving behind the true love of her life, Alexander Norton.  He wanted children some day, and AnnaBeth didn’t.  She and Juan eventually hit the same impasse and after three years of marriage, the couple ended in a very amicable divorce in 2017.

They remained friends even as Juan Emilio began a relationship with another American supermodel, Chantel DeMao.  Although AnnaBeth did not have the best relationship with Chantel, she and Juan remained friends and she was there for him when his daughter, Eva, was born in 2019.  Not too long after, Chantel was killed in a car accident that became highly public when it was learned she left a nightclub drunk, crashing her car into a building in downtown Los Angeles.   This left Juan to raise Eva on his own.  He relied a lot on AnnaBeth during that time and the pair began a non-exclusive relationship, mostly because she didn’t want to become Eva’s ‘mother’.

By 2023, AnnaBeth was ready to retire from modeling and had taken up an offer from friend, Seth Meyers, to help run the modeling agency at Stiner, Hayes, and Meyers branch in Gotham, NJ.  Juan was crushed at the thought of AnnaBeth leaving, as was Eva but he understood this was the opportunity of her lifetime, so he decided it was time to move back to Mexico and try to start a life there.  However, a few months after returning to Mexico, he received a call from AnnaBeth.  She never said why, but at her request, he packed up Eva and the two of them moved to Gotham to be with her.  A position was created for him at the modeling agency and the pair work together in the job that was once belonged to AnnaBeth’s former lover, Alex Norton, who had just received a promotion and was no longer working exclusively with the models.

Juan Emilio is happy in Gotham.  He and Eva have a nice apartment downtown.  She doesn’t speak much about her mother, Chantel, as she was less than a year old when her mother died.  Much to Juan’s delight, AnnaBeth is slowly building a relationship with Eva and he hopes that maybe, someday, AnnaBeth will change her mind and want to remarry and adopt Eva as her own.
