Bio: Hillari is a clinical psychologist who focuses on people who struggles with issues of anxiety, depression, self worth and self image. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and has her own practice, but she also opens her practice to students at Cornell. She understands the rigors of college life, separation from family, pressure of college and what it can do to a person… she was there once herself. She is a woman who is truly passionate and loves her work. She believes in treating the whole person, both spiritual and mental and even physical to the level of the persons comfort. She works in conjunction with the patient’s physician. She has been known to do her own boot camps for patients who are in extreme need. This is why she is considered one of the best psychologists at Cornell University.
Personally, she also understands the hardship of a long-distance relationship. She has been in a six year relationship with Callum Parnham. He currently works in Wakefield, England as a financial advisor for the city. Wakefield was a struggling metropolitan borough and as the administrative centre for several other cities, once it started to thrive again, the surrounding cities did as well. This is Callum’s ‘gift’. He and Hillari met when she went to Bradford, England for her sister Iris’s wedding. Her sister is a professor at the University of Bradford and married a fellow professor, Harry Talbot. Harry introduced Callum to Hillari, as Callum was his brother-in-law. Callum married Harry’s sister but the pair divorced, *very* amiably a few years later.
Hillari and Callum corresponded intermittently for several years after meeting. They decided to take the next step and began a true relationship, each taking trips to the other’s country for visits. But they know that anything such as marriage would require one of them to give up their home and family. Callum’s job requires him to relocate every few years, as he is fond of saying, ‘there really hasn’t been a city, town, borough in England where he hasn’t lived’. Besides his job, though, the biggest reason for Callum to stay in England is his daughter, Millie.
