Bruce Leaves Gotham

Since the closing of his parents’ case, Bruce struggles with a growing anger, a sense of helplessness, and a strong desire for some tangible form of justice. Unable to face the anniversary of their deaths in such a state, he flees Gotham, and eventually turns to “the Orient” where he spends three years learning discipline, meditation and various forms of martial arts. It is there that he begins solidifying the plans to become Batman.
