Bio:     Benjamin, aka Benji, is the oldest son of Jackson and LaRae Meyers.  His parents met when his father joined the military.  LaRae found out she was pregnant shortly after they started dating and before she learned that Jackson had some deeply rooted issues with his temper, drinking, and family problems.  She absolutely refused to marry him, but never refused to keep his son from him.  Her only requirements were that he never drink around Benji and he never raise a hand to him.  She also required Jackson to seek out counseling, which he did.  While both parents tried to hide the darker side of Jackson’s psyche from Benji, he always knew his father had issues, but it never stopped him from his ‘hero’ worship.  Jackson was a firefighter in the military and Benji, though also a classically trained pianist, aspired to be a firefighter as well.

The first love of his life, outside of his mother, was his Aunt Courtney.  The two bonded immediately and she cultivated his love of the piano, always attending his concerts and helping to pay for his lessons once they moved to Gotham.  Benji is also the reason that his cousins Peyton and Parker exist.  Benji sparked the maternal instinct in his aunt and she and his Uncle Seth sought out surrogacy, thanks to Benji.

After high school, Benji stayed in Gotham and worked to become a firefighter, eventually working with his father.  He also reconnected with his childhood ‘crush’, Louisa Franklin.  The couple dated and after learning of her pregnancy, they married in 2015.  They are now the proud parents of two children, Dantel and Raven.  Benji loves being a husband and father and credits his own father for teaching him that being a great parent and husband takes hard work and a lot of love.
