    Bruce Heads to Europe

    Read in less then a minuteIn the middle of a crisis on two fronts – Courtney’s cancer and Lex’s coma/amnesia – Bruce is confronted with yet another: an attack on his European businesses that demand his attention. Conflicted and in pain, he chooses Europe – thus earning Seth’s ire. During the trip, he is nearly assassinated (a fact he has kept secret from everyone, even now). When he returns, he finds himself locked out of Courtney’s life by an angry Seth. He also discovers that Lex’s memory returned, to bad results.

    Moving In, Cancer & Coma

    Read in one minuteBruce invites Grace to move into the Manor with him. It is a difficult decision for him, one in which he struggled with many emotions, most of which he did not understand. Looking for advice, he turns to Miles Blaire for the confidence he needs to make the move. Shortly after her move, his happiness is threatened by the news that Courtney Blaire has been diagnosed with cancer and Lex Luthor was in an automobile accident resulting in cancer. He is bereft and turns to Grace for comfort and support.

    Read in less then a minuteBruce surprises Grace with a trip to Italy for her birthday. During the trip, Lex Luthor goes missing. His whereabouts are not discovered until after their return.

    Courtney’s Birthday & Spa Trip

    Read in less then a minuteBruce sends Courtney to an expensive new spa as a birthday present. She takes friend Grace O’Neil with her and returns with pictures to share. While there, the girls meet Seth Meyers, a young advertizing exec, and his best friend Alex Norton. Sparks fly between Seth and Courtney.

    Read in less then a minuteBruce goes to Metropolis on business and runs into Lex Luthor at a club. They are immediately drawn to one another, beginning a potentially scandalous and heated relationship.

    Return to Gotham

    Read in less then a minuteBruce returns to Gotham and spends several months creating the public image of himself as self-centered, morally ambiguous, playboy. He dates many women (and occasinal men) in and out of Gotham, parties, and spends money to maintain the image. In secret, he begins converting the caves and sub-basement of the Manor into Batman’s headquarters.

    Bruce Leaves Gotham

    Read in less then a minuteSince the closing of his parents’ case, Bruce struggles with a growing anger, a sense of helplessness, and a strong desire for some tangible form of justice. Unable to face the anniversary of their deaths in such a state, he flees Gotham, and eventually turns to “the Orient” where he spends three years learning discipline, meditation and various forms of martial arts. It is there that he begins solidifying the plans to become Batman.

    Wayne case is ‘closed’

    Read in less then a minuteThe Gotham PD decides that there is no new evidence in the Wayne murder case and opts to close it. Gordon informs Bruce, who is understandably very, very upset. Courtney Blaire attempts to comfort her friend.

    Read in less then a minuteAfter meeting Courtney Blaire again at her father’s office at City Hall – and running into her literally – Bruce asks her out.  They date a few times, but romance is not in the cards.  They decide to be friends and maintain the friendship despite Bruce’s return to college.

    Read in less then a minuteAt the urging of Constance Blaire, then wife of Councilman Blaire, the Gotham Soup Kitchen is reopened, with a host of local celebrities serving food to the poor.  Bruce Wayne & Courtney Blaire meet (again).
