Bio:      Marley is the adopted daughter of Bruce and Grace Wayne.  They adopted her using the same agency Alex and Emily used to adopt Betsy.  Marley’s biological mother was an extremely young teenager whose family decided she was too young to be a parent.  Since they did not believe in abortion, they decided to work through an agency for a closed contract adoption.  The signed a contract with a young married couple who agreed to pay for the prenatal care and in exchange, they would get to adopt and name the baby when she was born.  However, Fate had different plans.  The husband discovered his wife cheating and the messy divorce that ensued found the adoption contract nullified as part of the divorce.  As the mother was in her last trimester, the agency had to scramble to find another suitable couple for adoption.  As a means of ‘repayment’ for Bruce’s help with their adoption of Fadil, Alex and Emily sent their recommendation of Bruce and Grace to the agency.  The adoption was quickly approved and they took over the adoption contract.

Bruce and Grace never met Marley’s mother.  Once the baby was born, she was given to Bruce and Grace.  Graham and Emma were there as well.  The parents named her Marley Joelle.  Graham immediately nicknamed her MJ.  Her parents fell completely and helplessly in love with her.  Emma decided to reserve judgment until Marley formed a personality, although Emma does agree with the rest of the family in that Marley is ‘stinking cute’.
