Bio:     Dmitry’s parents immigrated to the United States when he was a 4 years-old.  His sister, Oksana, was 7.  Boris wanted a new life for his family, away from the ‘family business’ in Ufa, Russia.  While Ufa is a thriving center for culture, science and industry, there is an underside to it as well.  Boris and his wife, Galina, had dreams of rising out of that underbelly and becoming so much more.  Upon becoming US citizens, Boris and Galina completed the necessary requirments to earn their law degrees in the US as they had earned in Russia.  Boris focused on corporate law, and Galina focused on becoming an assistant district attorney for the city of Boston.  Later, she became the first Russian born District Attorney to be voted in office.  It was quite an accomplishment.

Both his parents were overjoyed when Dmitry decided to follow suit and become a lawyer.  His parents, having attained quite a comfortable lifestyle, wanted the same for their children.  Oksana, being a few years older, had already chosen to become a doctor and was planning to specialize in Fetal Surgery.  Dmitry always felt somewhat pressured as he had not quite chosen a specialty for law.

It wasn’t until college when he and his best friend, Hallister Worthington IV, met Peyton Meyers that he decided on his specialty, Political Law.  While not born in the United States, he was a naturalized citizen, but running for offices was a bit limited for him, at least moreso than his friends.  Therefore, Dmitry decided to turn his law degree into managing campaigns, at first for Hallister and Peyton, and then later for just Peyton, as Hallister gave up his pursuit for office and both helped Peyton with his political career.

It was also through his friendship with Peyton that he met his wife, Barbara Gordon.  She was born and raised in Gotham.  Her goal to become a District Attorney, like his mother.  He loved her drive, ambition, but mostly, he loved that she wasn’t afraid to have fun.  To laugh.  Once the pair decided to marry, Dmitry settles down in Gotham and they have two daughters, Iryna and Celina.

His parents love being grandparents to the beautiful girls, but for Boris, the question is never too far from his mind…  Will the underworld he fled in Ufa ever come to find his family in the United States.
